Exploring the mind-body connection found in the breath and central nervous system. How to use the breath on and off the mat as an aid against stress and to bring strength to postures. Core competencies in asana alignment, dristi, bandhas and meditation. Core alignment for all yoga asana while covering the mechanics of jump throughs/backs, sun-salutations, and headstands. The concepts and applications covered are foundational to building strength and reaching the flow state in your asana practice. This will be a part flow-part educational class, allowing students to apply concepts while fresh on the mind, ask questions and receive feedback. The class consists of presentation and asana practice.
