Teri L. Honeysuckle, M.S., ERYT500
After a decade of teaching yoga and training yoga instructors, Teri gained a Master’s degree in counseling in May of 2020. She believes humans are intrinsically growth oriented and remains passionate about sharing insights with the yoga community.
Teri began practicing and studying yoga philosophy in 2003 and began teaching in 2007. She founded YogaGypsy in 2010 and YogaGypsy Studio in Springdale, Arkansas in 2013. Teri is registered with Yoga Alliance at the 500ERYT level and created the YogaGypsy 200 and 300 hour schools which are also registered with Yoga Alliance.
Teri studied meditation, writing and improv at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California, completed training in hypnotherapy, trauma informed yoga training and is currently enrolled in second year of graduate school at the University of Arkansas to obtain her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health.
During the 2017-2018 Fall and Spring semesters, Teri taught meditation and yoga to the University of Arkansas Women’s Golf Team. The team won the 2018 SEC Women’s Championship and the 2018 Regional Championship.
Teri taught corporate yoga at Saatchi & Saatchi X since 2012 and facilitated group and individual creativity workshops for employees on the corporation’s development team.
YogaGypsy School, under Teri’s leadership, over the last five years has trained more than 50 yoga teachers in the Northwest Arkansas and Central Arkansas area.
Teri facilitated international yoga retreats in Mexico and Costa Rica, taught at Yoga on the Mountain Festival in Arkansas and Colorado, and offers continuing education classes for current yoga professionals.
